Cookies & browser storage

What the Booklyt website stores in your browser and why.

Essential cookies

Cookies are small pieces of data stored by your browser. The Booklyt checkout uses a session cookie to keep the steps of a purchase connected. Your library uses a secure sign-in cookie so you can return to purchased products without entering a password on every page. The administration area uses an access cookie for authorised staff. These are used to provide the service you request.

CHECKOUTPurchase session

Connects your checkout and optional offers. It is used when you enter a funnel.

LIBRARYSign-in session

Keeps you signed in to your library for up to 30 days, unless you sign out sooner.

Local storage in apps

Some Booklyt browser apps may keep a local copy of planner information on your device so your work can be recovered or exported. App data can also be saved to your account for access on another device. Browser storage is tied to that browser and can be cleared in its settings; clearing it does not necessarily delete data saved to your Booklyt account.

Analytics and advertising

If you accept optional tracking, we load the Pinterest tag on Booklyt website and checkout pages. It records page visits, when checkout begins, and a completed purchase with its order ID, amount and currency so we can measure and improve our Pinterest advertising. Pinterest may use cookies and similar browser storage for this purpose. Our site code does not manually pass your email address to the tag. If Pinterest's automatic enhanced match setting is enabled, however, the tag may hash and share details entered in forms, such as email, after you accept optional tracking. If you reject optional tracking, the tag does not load.

We save your choice in browser storage so we can respect it on later visits. Use the Cookie choices button on a Booklyt page to change your choice; withdrawing consent tells the Pinterest tag to stop sending events and remove its first-party tracking storage. See Pinterest's privacy policy for how Pinterest handles information it receives.

Managing storage

You can delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop checkout or library sign-in from working. To sign out of your library, use its sign-out control. For questions about data saved in a product, email admin@booklyt.dev.
